The State of Massachusetts

A few photos from my trip to Boston...

The outside of my old apartment building

Courtyard of my building

Delicious dinner

The best ice cream in the world...and how cute is that logo?

Oreo ice cream with hot fudge and cookie dough pieces...sooooo good.

Despite all the hard work involved (I was finally moving out of my college apartment) the trip was really fun.  I was a little teary when we finally got on the MassPike and left for the last time, but it's finally really hitting me that I'll be living in DC, which I'm so so excited about!

How did you spend the weekend?  Have you ever been to Boston?
xoxoKate

PS: Bonus points if you caught that the title of this post is a Dropkick Murphys' song.

  1. Hi, Kate!

This weekend was fun in Miami Beach as usual...

Congrats on the move! I remember moving from DC to go to Miami for grad school, so exciting.

And, love Boston... two friends from college are there and have really enjoyed visiting esp. in spring :)

and that ice cream is way too yummy looking, btw...

  2. I have such a soft spot in my heart for Boston - my parents both met at Harvard, and my family goes to Boston ALL the time. I love everything about the city, and am always blown away with how different it is from New York (and how much cleaner and more peaceful it is!).
I am having a food orgasm over that ice cream - it looks INCREDIBLE! I am definitely going to have to make a stop there the next time my family heads to our house on the Cape! :)
Congrats on the move to DC - I'm sure it's all bittersweet for you, but now you have a new, fun city to explore!

  3. @Miss Bliss: Thanks!

@Allison: The ice cream is incredible! I discovered they delivered in my last few weeks of classes...I was in heaven. Definitely worth making a stop for. And I'm excited about DC...I'm from the Maryland suburbs, so I've always been close to DC, but I've never really explored the city at all, so I'm looking forward to it!

  4. I also just graduated from a Boston college but I'm one of the few in my group of friends who is actually staying in the city next year! I know what you mean though, change is so hard and I wish you the best of luck in DC :) Also exited to be following your adorable blog now!

  5. I adore J.P. Licks! Having some serious ice cream envy right now. I spent several weeks in Boston a couple of years ago when I was enrolled in a Harvard pre-college summer program, but I haven't been back since. I miss it!

I'm glad I found your blog - I aspire to go to law school when I finish undergrad, so I hope you make a couple of posts about your experience!
